Simrit Brar is a branding expert who’s currently shaping global brands with the powerhouse team at Siegel+Gale in Los Angeles. With 20+ years of experience, she’s worked with businesses of all sizes—from Fortune 500 giants to scrappy startups—helping them rebrand, evolve, and create brands from the ground up.

Her recent clients include Warner Bros. Discovery, Nielsen, Disney, Flip, Hedley & Bennett, Abbott, Visa, Google, Fitbit, Wells Fargo, SAP, and VMware. Before Siegel+Gale, Simrit led the Design discipline at Phenomenon, where she helped build and grow the design practice. During her time there, she worked on everything from brand identities and packaging systems to e-commerce platforms, retail promotions, and digital experiences for brands like DC Comics, Flywheel, Wilson, Warner Bros., Sheraton, Neustar, Forward by Elyse Walker, Dogswell, CB2, Crate & Barrel, NutriBullet, Pinkberry, and SLS Hotels.

Before that, she was Senior Design Director at Havas Design’s CO-OP in New York and spent three years at Smart Design. She earned her Master’s in Design and Technology from Parsons The New School for Design, where she also taught as adjunct faculty.

Earlier in her career, Simrit led JWT’s first Indian design studio, Design Sutra, in Mumbai, working with clients like Cadbury and Prudential. She also played a pivot role in shaping the new face of Bollywood key art, designing print campaigns for nearly 50 films. Working closely with the most successful stars, producers and directors, this work reached one of the largest cinema audiences in the world and includes India’s first Oscar nominee in five decades– ‘Lagaan’.

She kicked off her career at Brand Union (formerly R+K), and her work has been widely recognized—featured in books, periodicals, museums, and even the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. In 2017, she landed a spot on AdWeek’s Creative 100 List. Her work continues to win awards at The One Show, Communication Arts, and the Clio Awards.
